The Praja Rajyam Party chief and Megastar, K Chiranjeevi, wanted to know whether the Telangana issue is the only problem for the State and the Central governments.
Chiranjeevi, who is currently touring Guntur district, said the State and the Central governments seem to have ignored issues concerning the people and their concentration was only on the Telangana issue for the past two months.
He wondered why the leaders were also talking about Telangana issue leaving other core issues aside.
He said the prices of essential commodities have gone up considerably causing heavy burden on the people. As if this was not enough, he said the State government had increased the RTC bus fare.
Chiranjeevi said the PRP would lead a campaign against the price rise and wanted the government to concentrate on this. He said the PRP would take up agitation in all the district headquarters against price rise.
When asked about strengthening the party, Chiranjeevi said he was working on that and would soon announce a programme to strengthen the party from the grassroots. He said the strength of the party does not depend on the number of seats it wins in any election.
